Overview
This guide shows how to connect your Meta account to ChatAgent so you can link your Facebook Page and Instagram account, then start managing messages.
Before you start
- Make sure you have admin access to the Meta Business/Page you want to connect
- Confirm your Instagram account is linked to the correct Facebook Page in Meta
Steps
- Log in to ChatAgent
- Go to Channels from the left menu
- On the Meta Platforms card, click Connect
- Sign in to your Meta account
- Select the Facebook account you want to use (current login or another account)
- Choose the Facebook Page you want to connect
- Choose the Instagram account linked to that Facebook Page
- Review the permissions ChatAgent is requesting
- Click Continue to grant access
- Return to ChatAgent and wait for the connection to complete
- Confirm the channel status shows Active
- Send a test message to confirm messages are syncing
Troubleshooting
- If the connection fails, confirm you are an admin on the Meta Business/Page and try again.
- If Instagram does not appear, confirm it is linked to the selected Facebook Page in Meta.
